ABOUT VPS
The Viewfinder Photographic Society, based in Skidby in East Yorkshire, is a friendly club of enthusiasts who meet regularly to support each other, exchange ideas and share expertise. It provides a place for members to learn about and improve their photography by being with others who share their passion.
Formed in 2007, our club has steadily grown in size and popularity and now has a waiting list. Members normally meet weekly on Monday evenings at Skidby Village Hall (with the exception of Bank Holidays) and occasionally via Zoom.
Our varied programme includes still life workshops, portrait sessions, talks, presentations, tips on photographic techniques and reviews of members’ photographs. In the summer months, members meet up at different locations in the area, with the emphasis very much on taking photographs.
All VPS members have an opportunity to display their photographs to the public at our annual exhibition. It’s one of the highlights of our yearly programme and demonstrates the range of talent within the Society.
